What would you recommend ?

I have him a new switch game and a few books but was thinking about something to get him in the garden ?
I was thinking about swingball but is it as good as I remember from my youth ?!?

Thanks !

I don’t remember swingball ever being any good!
What’s he into? Bikes, scooters, football?

I'm in my 40's and love swing ball! Bought one for my kids years ago but I played with it more! 😆

itsureis · 26/04/2021 16:00

He's not really into football and has a bike & a scooter already.
I'm not sure about trampolines ... plus they are so expensive that that may have to be a joint present with his big sister.

If not an outside present .. has anyone bought anything science related that's been a good purchase ?

My son turns 7 in June, he is really into magnets at the moment so I'll be looking for a magnet set, he also loves anything nasa and space.
He has actually asked for a basketball hoop as pp's have said so that may be worth a go?

My boy turns 7 in a couple of weeks and we have got him a den making kit, it's the plastic pipes and balls to build whatever shape he wants and we ordered a camo net to cover it and a survival and explorer playset, he's getting very much into action men so we have got a couple of soldier ones to play with out there

Popular here:
Crystal making kit (national geo is the best one)
Toy archery kit
Swing ball
Air-dry Clay
Galt toys science kits
Sets of books: worst witch, beast quest, the bolds, last kids on earth

Look at Decathlon - we have their tennis net and basketball net - both pop up in a couple of minutes. We've had a lot of use out of both and I can pack them away easily in the shed when I want the garden to be tidy. They also do an Archery set too.

Oooh, what about a couple of large super soaker water guns? That would be my son's recommendation!

My DD is 7 soon, she’s getting a huge Lego set and a pogo stick thing.

Misty9 · 26/04/2021 16:58

The snap circuits set has endured as a decent alternative to screens here, 7yo and 9yo Grin

Thanks everyone for your suggestions .... orders have been placed so let's hope he like them 👍
