How long per day do you spend on your phone?

Generally about three hours per day. About two hours of that is a complete waste of time.

Probably about 4, could be 5. It's increased since joining Mumsnet!
I'm not one for texting or chatting on the phone, but I use it for word puzzles ( benefitting my brain), you tube crime forums and, of course mumsnet. I don't read newspapers or watch the news, so I use it for that too.
I don't find this amount of time worrying. I think it's just the way we've moved forward with advances in technology.

Since lockdown and WFH I spend an hour or so on MN but that’s on my i pad. I see this as my virtual coffee breaks. My family, friends and colleagues know to ring me if urgent. I look at my phone late morning and early evening to reply to any messages. I don’t pick it up and read messages when it pings but I have made this very clear to people.

My friend sent me some lovely pics of a bike ride back in our home area. I responded about 5 hours later. I dislike being interrupted and think it’s bad for work flow.

Mostly because I stream TV via it but also my job is reactive so if I'm not working, I have nothing to do and can browse MN/chat with friends etc

Depends really on what I'm doing! I also have an iPad so someone's use one or the other for the same thing!

On my iPad I watch TV. I quite often go to bed and catch up on things using my iPad. This weekend I've watched the gymnastics online (iPad) so my usage is up
