Where are your toes supposed to sit in Birkenstocks?

I really want a pair of Arizonas. I usually have size 4 feet.

The 35 were miles too big and so were the 34s. Just had the 33s delivered and they feel ok on, but they look too small. If my toes are straightened out, they are just touching over the side at the front and one heel is definitely hanging over.

Are they just not for me?! Do I have wonky feet?

Your feet should be well within the footbed. It might look big but that's the style. If your heel and toes hang over the lip it must feel really uncomfortable?

Even with the straps completely tightened, the bigger pairs were slipping right off.

I only really tried them on and walked round the living room, but they didn't seem particularly uncomfy.

Have you tried the narrow version? The regular ones always used to slip around on my feet and feel too big until I got the narrow ones

I think I will send the 33s back and try the 34s in a narrow before I give up for good!

The 33's sound too small. I have several pairs of Madrid but not Arizona and there is meant to be a small gap at the front as when you walk your foot naturally slides forward
