Meals to help lose weight

Hi I'm currently needing lose 4 stone (fast) I'm hoping someone can share their weight loss journey or some inspiration on healthy easy low calorie meals what I can try I'm currently eating salads with chicken or a couple of prawns I like eating salads but they are not filling me so I keep having the urge to snack and also feeling tired thankyou for reading this post any advice would be much appreciated

A couple of prawns won’t be enough to fill you up. You need a decent portion.

Lentil soup keeps you full for ages. There are loads of recipes online.

For a sweet but filling hit, banana omelettes. Mash 1 banana in a cup, add 2 eggs, mix. Lightly oil frying pan, heat, tip in egg/banana mix, cook both sides. Yummy.

Bacon omlette equally good but more savoury.

TBH to lose weight you do need to feel hungry some of the time (IME) I’m trying to retrain myself to see a bit of hunger between meals as normal, and waiting for the next meal rather than snacking. Glass of water/cup of tea instead of a snack helps.

Having said that I agree that you need more protein and also agree that thick soups do a great job of being filling without being high in calories

Think volume. So stuff that's low calorie for high portions like spinach, lettuce, apples
I make a rice thing sometimes, half a pack cooked rice, couple of eggs, add chicken/ham/prawns and loads of veg - spinach, onion, tomatoes, mushrooms and some soy sauce
Serve big portions of veg and salad with everything

I've always had a glass of water or a cup of herbal tea when I'm trying not to snack, then wait 20 mins. If still hungry then a half handful of nuts or some raw veg. It's about trying not to follow the habit. Otherwise things that will be more filling are to add lots more raw veg to salads so think cucumber, carrots, peppers etc not just lettuce leaves and to add seeds or cheese as extra protein. I do find I need some carbs or I am just hungry. Veg soup is another good option. Good luck.

Have you considered Low Carb? There are some good FB groups dedicated to that. For me it's the best way to lose weight

I try and make every plate half full of green veg. Fill up with vegetables with the rest being protein.

It gets hard being inspired by it though. ..
