I’d love my boss to sneak 80s things into staff messages, but not much chance of that. They haven’t noticed that they’ve rostered three upcoming shifts for someone that left last week!

I was just discussing it with my colleague (there are only two of us and then a lot of weekend teens). We’ve both had to change our shifts around every day in the last fortnight to cover things like this. The little kitchen girl was sacked, the girl that fainted left for health reasons and one of the regular weekenders resigned last week. We wondered about just doing the shifts they’ve given us, so nobody will turn up until an hour after the café opens on Tuesday, and seeing what happens! I’m not stressing like I was. I’m counting down and chanting “not my circus...”

And, incidentally, you SHOULD just work the hours you're rostered!
