Looking for ideas for dp, so far for his birthdays I have done driving experience, flight simulator, he has also had flying lesson in helicopter. I am looking for something nice for just us two and no kids. I have been looking on virgin experience as I get discount with them through work.
If anyone can come up with ideas, any ideas, whether it be experience days, hotels or anything else please let me know

White water rafting?

The flying by yourself in a wind tunnel? Xscape at Milton Keynes do (or at least used to do) this, and it was good fun.

Zoo keeper for a day, or an individual animal experience.

Walking with llamas, or alpacas.

Coaster climb at a theme park. Dh loves theme park rides so I booked him one of them at Thorpe Park.

Leeds2, the ifly in Mk he has already done, we quite often do quite a lot in Mk as we are Northampton so go shopping and socialising in Mk quite a bit, he has done the karting as well, and also the skiing at xscape, we have both also done the sledging there.

I’m taking DH to the London Brick Festival in September londonbrickfestival.com/index.php/en/

Cowbells · 25/04/2021 08:43

DH gave me a zookeeping experience for my 50th. I loved it. I took DS1 up in a hot air balloon for a treat once and that was fantastic. Would recommend both of these.

If he likes steam trains, you can buy a day as the driver - stoking the coal etc.

If he's at all arty, you can do graffitti days too which sound quite fun. Or get a secret group of friends together and take him paintballing or lazertagging if he likes that sort of thing.

I’ve always fancied going in a hot air balloon.

pinkkoala · 25/04/2021 17:57

I am not good with heights so I can’t do the hot air balloon, I struggled on the London eye last year.
I have thought about a trip and meal on a train, maybe something in London as it’s only an hour on a train from here. I did see about the barge trip that goes up the Thames and you go under the bridge which is lifted up to fit barge through. I have thought about a themed bar in London, but not sure which one.
He has done paintball and laser tag loads, he isn’t into sport though.
Keep the ideas coming please

As you’re near London I can thoroughly recommend the River Rockets rib experience. Amazing.

@pinkkoala you could do a cocktail safari and go to several bars in London - there's the ice bar off Regent Street, Alchemy in Covent Garden is good for very theatrical cocktails with dry ice and bubbles etc, then you could end up at a classy rooftop bar - there are lots to choose from, or finish at the Savoy Grill.

Yes. You don’t need to be a swimmer.
