Unprotected sex while due on period and now no period. Could I be pregnant?

Just after a little advice please. I was 2 days late for my period when I had unprotected sex and now my period still hasn't arrived. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? I'm now 15 days late. I took a pregnancy test 3 days ago and it was negative. This was the first time I've had sex for over 6 months. I was under the impression right before your period it was just about impossible to conceive. Ive got no symptoms of early pregnancy other then this late period.

Lots of women are reporting period disturbance at the moment - linked to the stress of Covid I think. Also threads on here about late periods following the vaccine.

It's very unlikely, especially with a negative test, but not impossible. It happened to me (in spite of contraception as well).

Most likely you just didn't ovulate this month or your period is off for some other mundane reason.
