Just that really, we need to get a few bits, usually go to Sheffield but not fussed if there as still huge queues to get in like after the last lockdown.
TIA

It probably depends when you go. I was at the Nottingham store at 9:30 on Wednesday morning and there wasn’t a queue.

DragonmotherKhaleesi · 24/04/2021 12:42

That was my thinking, I'd need to go either later today or in the morning

According to store manager husband, their click and collect service has calmed demand and therefore footfall as people are ordering and collecting instead of queuing to get in. They have also doubled store capacity compared to last release of lockdown. So you should be fine anytime 😊

My mum and dad went to the Nottingham one last night, she said there wasn’t a queue to get it and the store wasn’t very busy but the queue for the tills was massive

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/04/2021 13:05

Anyone been the Reading store today?

ToryStelling · 25/04/2021 13:53

We drove past the Warrington store this afternoon and the queue to get in was pretty big! But seemed to be moving quickly.

You don’t go on a weekend anyway , even pre Covid . I live near a IKEA and always queuing traffic around to get there and to get back on motorway . If you go go first thing on go on a weekday .

We went to the Bristol IKEA last weekend, about an hour before it shut and managed to walk straight in. It wasn't too bad inside, but not easy to linger over things if you were looking for something specific and want to consider it properly - there isn't a lot of room around the various displays.

They'd got the till queues managed brilliantly, though - full marks for speed there!

Thanks all, we went at around 4pm yesterday. Walked straight in, not busy at all.

I went to the Birmingham ikea on Friday evening and there was no que to get in. It was quiet inside and a pleasant atmosphere.

We went to Reading Ikea today and walked straight in. The huge queue was for the lift back up with trolleys. There were bits of the shop that were busier but nothing too extreme and the queue for the tills was fine at the end (we were queueing at nearly closing time as well). Much better than normal I think because it was less of a free for all.
