Mrs Hinch- what happened to Minky?!

85 replies

DarlingWithoutYou · 23/04/2021 17:24

Just that, really. Minky has disappeared entirely, along with Pinky and the others. She used to 'put them to bed' every night too and never does that anymore, ever.

Also she used to spray Lenor mixed with water round her whole house and has stopped that too! (I suspect because she now works with Febreze).

This is not a Hinch bashing thread please... I happen to like her! I'm just genuinely curious.

[quote EvilOnion]@Sparklingbrook I remember Flylady too, must see if the threads are still on the go!

Simple cleaning with no fancy products - shine your sink before bed and dress to the shoes to start your day.

I mix fabric softener with water and use it to spray and freshen up the house, it’s better and cheaper than Fabreeze , it works for me ...

Febreze is actually designed for that. Lenor is a highly flammable fabric softener you put in your washing machine. It's not hard to understand the difference

There was a thing a while back to wipe your radiators down with fabric conditioner to make your house smell nice, but i agree that opening the windows is a good start. I have a couple of pricey reed diffusers which produce a waft every now and again but the rooms are large. I wouldn't want to be breathing it in the whole time.

Flylady still exists and there's an App.Shock I might get sucked back in. www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/ I will have no possessions in a few days. Grin

All these chemicals can't be good for you!

I think if you air your home daily, hoover regularly and do the dusting weekly you are on a winner!
Have a deep clean once in a while- start with a Spring Clean...
Obviously personal hygiene goes without saying, that can eliminate a lot of smells.

If you feel the need for artificial smells, just be wary of what a product is designed to do.
Never mix cleaning products!

She made her money. Got her freebies. She doesn't need to do anything anymore long as her sheeple buy her rubbish pointless books.

@HeyGirlHeyBoy

"Ah I see, very good. So not 'dressing gown and slippers on for a nice mooch' first, no? grin Good advice tho."

I prefer your approach! 😂

So do I! Grin Essential weekend living Wink

Just had a look! OMG there are 31 baby steps, presumably before you start the heavy lifting . No wonder I bailed out after the sink.
Sparklingbrook · 25/04/2021 12:54

FlyLady is hardcore compared to Mrs Hinch. It's not just chucking Zoflora about and cleaning your washing machine filter. Grin

@EvilOnion

How do you normally put your shoes on?

Slide foot in. Tie laces. Stand up and get on with things 🤣

But what if you're not leaving the house? You just track your shoes around inside?
