Could there be a neuroatypical board on Mumsnet

I have seen threads in the past about autism/ADHD/OCD which have descended into normally well meaning misunderstandings/misconceptions.

I have had an autism diagnosis since I was thirteen but only recently (in my thirties) have I fully started to accept and explore what it means. I present as a normal attractive enough woman which I think has fed into lots of denial.

I'd love a board to discuss this with other neuroatypical posters. People who get it, rather than kind well meaning people who don't. What do people think?

Check out the Special Needs threads maybe?

There is but I think you have to opt in to see it :) it's called MNers with Special Needs. Look at the full topic list to find it.

There is.

Thank you. Special needs makes me think of school and my parents fighting for me to get a statement and the other kids going 'oh she's special needs now'

But maybe that is my issue which I need to get over.
