The great post office scandal

I have been aware of this for a while as it was serialised on R4 and is being repeated now
It is mindblowingly disgraceful. I hope those who covered up the failures of the horizon system, and the makers of it, and those who lied in court get named and charged. Prison I hope just like the innocent people who ended up in prison

I listened to all these yesterday and it is appalling the lengths the Post Office went to to both pursue their sub-postmasters and then to avoid taking any responsibility for the mess. They used every legal trick in the book and were happy to spend whatever it took to dodge taking responsibility for destroying innocent people's lives. Sadly it is clear no one will be held responsible.
The Court of Appeal's decision on 42 convictions is due today and there are many more for them to consider. One real surprise is that the Post Office effectively has it's own police force and CPS, so each conviction never got any proper scrutiny.
The Post Office's senior management from the last 20 years should hang its head in shame.... But they won't I'm sure.
