Do you ever wish you could go back in time...

And change how you handled a situation? Today I was randomly reminded of a time (7 years ago now) when I was being measured for a bridesmaid dress. The shop lady had me try on a sample gown they had in stock and I could just about squeeze into it.

She then said 'I could order you the size up but then we'd have to get it taken in, so really you need to look at losing some weight'.

I was actually on a health kick at the time, trying to lose weight and the like, but I was still really taken aback. But....I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING. I think was just so shocked, and I was also young and not very good at standing up for myself. I just mumbled something incoherent.

I would love to go back in time and tell her to f*ck off.

Anyone else?

That was horrible thing for her to say!

I feel like that all the time unfortunately. I'm a bit of a doormat, and I really wish I could go back to all the times people have bullied me or taken advantage of me and give them a right piece of my mind!

Yes, plenty of times. That was so rude of that lady OP. I always think of perfect comebacks after the event and then want to kick myself for not thinking of it sooner!

Yes. Many years ago I was in a pub with a new flatmate. We bumped into a friend of hers and she introduced us, "This is Bob, this is TheIncredible." He said "Hi, TheIncredible, how are you?" I said "Fine, thanks, how are you?" Then he said, incredibly sarcastically, "Well, TheIncredible, I'm really glad to know that you're fine. That's made my day."

I wish I could go back in time and instead of feeling stupid and not saying anything I'd say something like, "Well, I'm glad to know that you're a twat."

Because obviously I knew that he didn't care how I was and was just making polite small talk and I hate that he instigated it and then acted like I was an idiot for responding in kind.
