My sister in law has recently given birth to my deceased brothers baby. I'd like to get something worthwhile to give her. Budget about £50 but happy to pay more on something special.

What were your best presents. Has to be able to be posted.

Do you have any of your brothers old clothes? If you do then you can get lovely cushions/blankets made from them for the babies room. My friend got one made for her daughter as her Dad was killed when she was 18 months and it still takes pride of place. They also have a photo book of him growing up and of the parents together.

Photo frame, baby book and handprint/footprint kit
A canvas height chart on which we’ve marked my DC’s heights each birthday and Christmas.

I had thought about his clothes and get a blanket or Teddy made from them but I don't have any

Can you/anyone else on your side of the family knit? A baby blanket would be nice.

Also, I'm so very sorry for your loss Flowers

Honestly, vouchers so she can buy something she needs.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the rollercoaster your SIL is going through Flowers

Thankyou. It's very bittersweet at the moment. He looks so like my brother.

Have you got any videos with your brother saying anything nice or memorable that you could pull the audio from? Never done it myself but you can get your own audio put into teddy bears (think build a bear do it).
Would be nice if the baby could have a teddy to squeeze and hear his/her dads voice growing up.

Best thing you can give is being there for your niece/nephew and telling them stories about their Dad as they grow up. Offer to babysit yo.give Mum a break occasionally. If Mum has lack of funds just give her cash to choose baby something. Silver photo frame with photo of your brother in.
