I’m only four days in. But if I’m sticking to my fitness pal and only eating 1200 calories a day. And moving around a lot more than I did I’ve started taking brisk morning and night walks with a view to building up to 0-5k.

When do you think I should start losing lbs? Much to my horror I have about 4 stone to lose.

Thank you.

You should aim to loose one to two pounds a week I have found loosing slowly tends to keep the weight off
In my experience it depends on age too when I was much younger I could drop around 5 to 7 pounds in the first week but not anymore anything lost is a bonus
I have also found its more about my frame of mind I have to really want to achieve the loss and make the bad stuff less attractive
Good luck you can do this

I’m in my 40s. I’ve taken photos of my self so I can see if i can notice a difference.

I’m so ashamed im seeing friends at the weekend I haven’t seen for two years. I’m hideous.

I'm about the same age with the same amount to lose. Honestly, I'm doing well to lose 2 pounds a week on something like that.

I'm doing exante now. It is a VLCD and I'm averaging 3lbs a week.

Cheesy warning!
Can you reframe your thoughts from 'I'm hideous" to "I am looking after myself because I love myself"?
I've spent years hating myself, its so demoralising.

Don’t be ashamed. You’re still their lovely friend. Fake it till you make it and just be yourself. It won’t matter to them, only to you and you’re on to it now. Have fun with your friends.

Weigh yourself weekly, you should see a loss pretty quickly, then it will probably plateau a bit but keep going!
Photographs is a great idea to really see how far you've come! Maybe take measurents too for when the numbers on the scale aren't as kind!

I've lost 2 stone in the last 6 months and need to lose 1 more ideally!
I write down my stats at the start and end of each month, and even the months where I've had a few wobbles - you can still see improvement!

You got this ✨
