A week in the highlands July with a stop on the way up and back to extend it. 4 nights in Carmarthenshire in May just to go somewhere in half term.
That’s it really wanted to go to France but not looking likely. Hope to go to London towards Christmas for a few nights.

We’ve got a uk break booked at the beginning of December and we’re planning on Christmas in Wales with family, but I wouldn’t be hugely shocked if we had to postpone either.

Possibly in September, to Cape Cod where a DSis lives, or else a favourite place in Greece.

But not pinning any hopes on either.

We no longer have to think of school holidays though, thank goodness.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 30/04/2021 08:53

We usually spend 10 days to a fortnight at a relative’s place in France every summer, but certainly not expecting that this year.

Hoping for a trip to Vegas in October (milestone birthday).

I’m not too optimistic, but fingers crossed!

NeedWineNow · 30/04/2021 09:12

Greece at the end of August. If we're allowed we will be going.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 30/04/2021 09:13

Going abroad to see family in July.

MaudesMum · 30/04/2021 09:15

Italy at the start of September. Flights booked but nothing else. I'll go if its legal, and if it looks as if its going to be enjoyable - eg I'd be much happier if rules around mask-wearing outdoors have been relaxed.

A cottage week and a boat week booked this year, but hoping to get a last minute flight to to Canada late summer if things go that way (doubt it!).🤞

HelloCanYouHearMe · 30/04/2021 09:18

2 UK holidays this year then Croatia and Greece in 2022

TooManyPlatesInMotion · 30/04/2021 09:20

Sussex in July, Canaries in Oct. Here's to hoping!

Roominmyhouse · 30/04/2021 09:24

Malaysia. Was due to go last October, it’s tentatively booked for this October (hotel and other bits moved) but we aren’t booking any flights until much nearer the time as I still don’t think we’ll get to go sadly. Fingers crossed for 2022!

I really think a lot of these destinations will be fine by July/Aug as vaccination rates will be that much higher in another two months' time.

There's an article in The Times today saying that the Dept for Transport and Dept for Health are arguing over which countries should be on which list on 7th May, when the first 'traffic light' travel list is announced. The DfH of course wants very few countries on the green list, the DfT wants as many as possible. Apparently, that first 'green list' will be very short and consist of perhaps Malta, Gibraltar, Barbados and Portugal, but the revised list, due to be published on 28th June, is likely to include Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Poland the US.

This is the article, for anyone who's a Times subscriber. It's interesting: www.thetimes.co.uk/article/hopes-rise-for-overseas-travel-to-dozens-of-green-list-countries-0c5kh3s5n
