How have BoJo's private messages started leaking?

I don't ever remember this happening before - maybe emails, but not text messages. Now it's happening all the time. Is it hackers?

Well, Downing Street says they're not investigating it so presume not any sort of hack. It's usually "govt sources".

Don’t you think he has a work phone, which is where these messages were received, which multiple people have access to, rather than his actual personal phone that his kids/friends ring him on?

The thing I don't understand is why wasn't such a big fuss made when Dominic Cummings excused with dodgy behaviour. All the shock about Boris's texts to Dyson & then Cameron & Greensill finance. Then don't forget Matt Hancock & his sister owning shares in a company that got a covid contract. It's not that different to the Cummings/Johnson drama but remarkably not much has been made of ithat one. They're all corrupt, the Tories are behaving similarly to the corrupt elite in 3rd world countries who give all their networks top jobs etc.

It's not like it matters. They'll shrug it off, get telegraph/mail/sun etc to print some stories about something else and all is forgotten. By 6th may it'll be a distant memory.

Exactly like royal "leaks" - directly and intentionally from their press secretary.

I agree, it's smoke and mirrors so that no one notices the things they don't want you to see. Already Bojo has twisted the text messages to say he wanted to save loves by any means necessary, painting him as the desperate hero doing his best for the nation and Starmer as the man who would let people die on a principle. Its all theatre.
