CONSTANTLY craving sugar

GoldRhino · 21/04/2021 20:25

All day long. Never satiated. On an average day I eat something like the following:

2 little pancakes with banana and honey
Nakd bar
Tuna salad
Hot chocolate
Chocolate bar
Salmon and pasta with vegetables
Cereal with sugar

It drives me nuts if I don’t eat the sugar I’m craving. What do I do?!

you need to low carb properly - go cold turkey

Eggs for breakfast, if you can - starting off with sweet stuff just gets you on the sugar rollercoaster straight away. Try and eat more protein and slow release carbs (whole grain bread, brown rice rather than white) - the GI diet basically!

I'd replace the chocolate with healthier sugary snacks like frozen grapes or dried fruit.

If you are craving sugar you could be low in magnesium as sugar and caffeine deplete it. Maybe try a magnesium supplement and eat more magnesium rich foods like dark chocolate, nuts, berries, avocado, fatty fish etc.
