Fully elasticated waist school shorts

Every time my son gets any sort of new bottoms they tend to be too big around the waist, even the ones with the buttons inside to make the waist smaller don't always help too much.

Anyway when we got his uniform we managed to get trousers that are a fully elasticated waist, no buttons to adjust the waist and no hook and zip, they just pull on.
We purposely looked for that type and found them in Asda.

They used to do shorts that were the same, but unfortunately they didn't have them anymore.

Does anyone know anywhere I could get school shorts with this type of waist? They need to be grey and my son is 5. (I did think maybe I could just get some of his trousers shortened as he has enough, but I would prefer to get shorts if possible).

Have you tried Next? I get my DS school shorts and trousers from there, he is super skinny and stuff is always too big on the waist but although theirs still have the elastic and button to pull them in they do a slim fit (as well as regular) which can then be made slimmer!
I dont have to adjust them at all as they are a decent 'slim' fit.

I got mine from Asda recently so worth it to keep looking in store and online

Try m&s but buy extra long in the size or two below so you get the length but with a smaller waist

Assuming you mean half elasticated (ie round the back, I’ve not seen them gathered with elastic at the front) then Amazon.

I’d also suggest trying the next ones. Their slim fit is really slim this year! My eldest is super skinny and needed his actual age size this time for the first time ever!

I bought DS1 some grey shorts like you describe last week in Matalan - he is 5 and age 5 was too wide for him, so I'd recommend buying '4' for a slim 5 year old.

M&S pull in a long way...
DS (10) is lean and only wears shorts.

He did recently complain that a pair was too snug, I told him to take them off and I'd check them. They were buttoned in well... I lossened them and checked the label... age 3-4 Shock
They've worn really well from yR to y5 Grin

That's hilarious BogRollBOGOF we currently have a pair of elasticated H&M boys PJs bottoms age 18m-2 that fit my 1 year old as long pjs or my 5 year old as shorts.
