I’m putting this here rather than on the TV thread in the hope that people can point me in the right direction.
We want to sell our house in the next year, but we’ve been here 15 years, our children are now 19 and 22 but still live here, and to be blunt it looks like a shit tip. It’s not that messy and isn’t dirty, but we’ve just got way too much stuff, and the paintwork/carpet etc is tired or worn out. The kitchen is perfectly ok but I think new owners would probably rip it out. It’s ok to sell like it is though, I think. The garden is awful.
Are there any programmes I can watch for inspiration? I like Escape to the Country but the houses are all ready to sell. I’d like to find ones about smartening them up (refreshing not knocking walls down etc), what to do, what to leave.
Do programmes like that even exist? I think I remember one from years ago that was all about painting walls magnolia and getting rid of anything personal, but maybe times have moved on.
I’ve got sky, Netflix and prime if that helps.
To be honest it probably is quite messy compared to other people’s houses.
