Tone up flabby bits quickly

Hopefully will be getting married end July, 3rd time lucky due to COVID-19!!
I need to tone up and ideally drop half a stone to make my dress look good on me.
The areas I am concerned about are upper back, arms and if I could get a more defined waist that would be fab.
Any ideas please, I can't do exercise lying down.
By the way I am 58, 5 feet 2 and 9 stone.
Thanks for any tips!!

I do strength training three times a week and it makes a huge difference. I wouldn't advocate using your heaviest weight straight away. You need to get the technique right and make sure you don't injure yourself. There is no point lifting heavy weights if you are not doing so correctly. Plus you also need to mix up your training sessions and not do exactly the same thing every time - there has to be progression and not just upper body exercises.

I would say find a small, independent gym where it's not rows and rows of treadmills, etc. or a PT. They may have a 6 or 10 week programme you can do.

Callanetics....best workout ever. It works the deep muscles so tones everything up really quickly. I totally recommend this. It's amazing!
I've got a Callanetics vhs tape from 30 years ago. Should locate it!

I find Pilates great for toning but I do sessions in a studio with equipment and an instructor.
I think to get the best results you need someone making sure you are properly positioned.

DH uses weights for toning.
