Fitbit or similar for 11 yr old boy - good idea? Which one?

Thinking of getting DS11 one for his bday. Is this a good idea?

He's a typical active boy, doesn't need to up his activity, but I thought he might enjoy the gadget side of things.

If I do get him one, do I get him a Fitbit? A Garmin? Something else?

Would be v grateful for any thoughts.

I'm also interested in this! I think the Fitbits look good.

DS1 12 has a MiBand 3 which he likes as it tracks his steps, shows the weather forecast and he can get notifications from his phone.

I have the MiBand 4 and they are the same strap so I ordered a load of colourful ones on amazon and we can share!
