I'm waiting to be a Granny... any day now

DD2 is 40 weeks today. No sign that he or she (we don't know) is coming out any time soon! We went for a long walk with my dog this afternoon and DD2 is quaffing Raspberry Leaf tea :)

This will be my first Grandchild and I feel incredibly lucky that DD2 has stayed local (my other children are spread from Plymouth to Australia!)
DS2 is autistic and was expecting the baby today Grin

Tell me the best things about being Granny! I want to be supportive but not interfering (and DD2 is a children's nurse, incredibly competent and a lovely person as is her DH... ) I will be helping out with child care when she goes back to work.

I'm just excited for them, and anxious for my baby girl.. in my head she's only 11!!!

I'm a constant name changer these days, but have been here since almost the beginning. It's hard to believe you're going to be a granny, DD2 is most definitely still 11 I'm sure, 12 at the most!!

-sniffs of & cuddles with a newborn who you haven't had to evacuate from your own body!

  • all the live & cuddles, but none/fewer sleepless nights
  • all care-no responsibility
  • utter adoration & cuddles (have I mentioned cuddles?)

Seeing your daughter with her baby...😍

Do let us know when we become Aunties🥰
