This is the 7th time I've watched it. The older I get the more upsetting I find it. I watch it every year and I'm still completely blown away by it.

This has made me want to see it again. David Schimmer is excellent as the repellent Sobel. It's worth reading Ambrose's book, very well-written.

Oh I love this! And the pacific. It's even more poignant now with the death of Helen Mcrory - I will watch again
