DD(7) completed an Easter trail where she had to collect letters around our town. We did that and we now have to unscramble the letters to reveal the Easter message. 6 adults have been trying since Thursday and we can’t figure it out.

It was organised by the church so our guess is that it’s a religious message. The last letter, written in red, is a Y

I was taught that a good way to solve these was to split up the vowels and the consonants.

Maybe that might help you?

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 17/04/2021 19:19

Jesus is definitely going to be in there, so take that out and try with the rest.

therearenogoodusernamesleft · 17/04/2021 19:19

'Story' and 'Jesus' is definitely in there...

At a rough guess, we wish you a jolly Easter?

Will now go and count the letters more carefully!

Mumteedum · 17/04/2021 19:20

Are you sure you got them all right? Grin

I'd guess something like joy to the world for he is risen. I was raised c of e ! 😉 Doesn't quite fit though

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 17/04/2021 19:22

I think you’re right OnAndOn. Wow that really is the least religious Easter message possible.

chatnicknameyousuggested · 17/04/2021 19:22

We wish you a jolly Easter.

OppsUpsSide · 17/04/2021 19:23

Where’s the I though?

OnandOnforHoursandHours · 17/04/2021 19:24

Try ‘we wish you all joy at Easter’ which is more plausible

OppsUpsSide · 17/04/2021 19:24

Oh right in the middle of the page! 😅

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 17/04/2021 19:24

Oh no, too many Ts

Mumteedum · 17/04/2021 19:25

Anyone else now got "we wish you a jolly Easter, we wish you a jolly Easter, we wish you and jolly Easter and a happy New year" as an ear worm? No... just me probably ☺️

Luckily, we only had to follow the map and find the letters displayed so definitely the right letters.

It appears that 'We wish you a jolly Easter' fits perfectly so surely that's it?
Notaroadrunner · 17/04/2021 19:37

@Chimboo

We wish you all joy at Easter Smile
Or that 😁
BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/04/2021 19:38

@Notaroadrunner
I was feeding my DD so couldn’t check it myself. I have done now though.

I've written it out 3 times, crossing out the letters as I write the words, to see if they work. Think I'm over invested 😄

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/04/2021 20:30

@Notaroadrunner

My mum and I both wrote the letters on bits of paper so we could rearrange them. It didn’t help. Grin
