Is it a terrible idea?
Any success stories?
Hate mowing with a passion.

I have a robot Hoover and dog.
It's besr described as a mixed bag of tolerated horror combined with barky fear.

I have a dog and a robot hoover, and once she could not hold it in when we were out. We came home to pop smeared over every possible area of flooring downstairs. I would assume robot mowers may be the same but more risk of a rogue pop, however less disgusting than inside your house 😂

Autocorrect fail, of course I mean poo!

I've got a robovac and robomop, but a robomower with the dog just seems like it's asking for trouble!

(Have also had a robovac - dog poo incident, was not pleasant)

@TippledPink oh god was it carpet? What did you do?

@Chasingsquirrels 🤢 for you!

At least outside I could hose it down I guess

Keep the dog in the house while the mower is in use?

We have robots mower and a highly strung jack Russell. First week was a nightmare of barking and hysterics, thought we'd have to send the mower back. Then she suddenly accepted it and now ignores it. We pick up the poos before mowing time but it's not a disaster if we ever miss one, it just gets bit squished. BEST INVENTION EVER! PERMANENTLY MOWED LAWN!

it's not a disaster if we've missed one.

That's the kind of info I'd be after (my concerns wouldn't be about the dogs reaction.

I haven't looked into them, but imagined that they do little and often on a schedule rather than being set of to mow.
(Like my robovac which goes at 3.30am daily rather than the robomop which I have to set up to go).

I don't pick up every time the dog poos, but do pick up every 2 or 3 days.
However DP has a Great Dane which produces horse shit sized piles and the thought of one of then being missed and mowed.....

@PeakyPaula Luckily I don't have any carpet, OH wasn't too impressed though having dried poo smeared all over the floor- it stunk so bad! We also didn't realise it was the hoover that did it as it got stuck under the sofa, we thought the dog had somehow skidded it across all the rooms. It wasn't until we were watching TV and it still really stunk of shit that we found it under the sofa! Took hours with a toothbrush to remove every piece of poo from the hoover!
