I have some throw/blanket things that were knitted by MIL out of shaggy acrylic wool. They're nice and all but the kids use them all the time to keep warm on the sofa and so on.
Of course they are washed regularly but this last wash, they came out smelling like wet dog even more than usual, so I washed them again before tumble drying them and they still smell like wet dog!
What can I do to salvage them? If I want to try vinegar, do I just put that in the drawer of the washing machine, or how do I do it? The kids are rather upset because they hate the way they smell now :(
