Dr Marten blaire

I bought a pair of blaire sandals at the end of last summer. I already have gryphon which are incredibly comfortable and I can walk all day in
I am struggling with the ankle strap. Has anyone found they wear in and get more comfortable?
I can't decide if they are better with the strap loose and wobbling around or tighter to keep them still

theyre lovely, but I have ended up selling on every pair of DM sandals ive owned as they always rub somewhere

The gryphon are soft and lovely. I have others that are vegan (plastic and bought accidentally) but I am allergic to them
I love the look of the blaire, j would just like to be able to walk in them
