I usually quite active 10k runs but since ivf only been walking. After ET I couldn’t sit in house and been walking everyday. I Didn’t realise been walking 10,000 steps a day 😳 Anyone been active post ET? I had cramps day 1 but only back pain day 3/4. Nothing now day 5. Don’t want to test early coz if don’t test there is hope but I worried I killed my chance by walking too much 😭😭😭 anyone else done this.

I've no idea on how many steps, but I went straight back to a pretty active job after egg transfer in the morning every time - didn't want to take the rest of the day off.

I remember my consultant who did one of the transfers telling me that the embryo was snuggly in there and nothing I could do would 'dislodge' it now.

If you think about it rationally (which is hard in the middle of IVF!), if exercise could stop it implanting then people TTC would be advised not to run, etc. Plus anyone in a position of contraception failure would be out hitting the gym hard along with taking the MAP.

I did nothing different in terms of being active with all embryo transfers - 2 out of 4 worked.

Good luck. Fingers crossed for you.

Please don’t worry!!
I was told to carry on my everyday life whatever I normally done after ET. I avoided any heavy lifting but walking is fine!
Good luck to you!

Thanks for your reply!

I been walking to keep sane, didn’t think it was a lot until my family said 10,000 steps /day is too much and should be resting :(

The 2 weeks is so hard I keep analysing every everything I am or not doing correctly :( Googling every little thing. Didn’t realise this phase was going to be so hard :(

Thanks for your reply again :)

It’s the hardest part!!
Hope it goes quick for you and a positive result

I really wouldn't worry about it OP! My consultant said there's absolutely no reason to rest and in fact, getting active will get the blood flowing which is beneficial for implantation. Obviously don't go climb a mountain etc and don't take up a new strenuous sport the TWW but just go on about your day as normal.

DH and I were pretty much out for the whole day after ET and in the evening we watched an hour and a half long comedy show and I was belly laughing the entire time... Part of me is still grateful to Ricky Gervais for my beautiful DS 😂😉

Thanks for the positive messages. Think I just having a down day. I had cramps and back pain up till day 5 but nothing now. Even the bloating going down. Not sure if this a a big negative :(

Truthfully, I was the same!
I had zero symptoms from day 4. Turned out to be my highest HCG number.
Because you feel nothing doesn’t always mean your out! 💐

Thanks, let’s hope so 🍀

I've got everything crossed for you OP! You are absolutely allowed to feel low, this is such a harrowing process to be going through. I honestly had the worst back pain from about 3-4 days after ET (I suffered with it all the way through my pregnancy) and also called in sick a couple of times with cramping, convinced it was all over and I couldn't face leaving the house. I had a strong BFP 10dp5dt and an absolutely uneventful pregnancy. We are here to cheer you on if you'd like CakeThanks

Hi ladies, one for thing. Today I weighed myself and I have lost 1.3kg. I assume it’s the bloating effects - not another bad sign??

OP posts:
KN4321 · 17/04/2021 09:20

It’s actually 1.8kg 😳

Giraffaelina · 17/04/2021 17:43

Sorry OP, I can't help you with that one. Are you eating properly, do you have an appetite?

KN4321 · 17/04/2021 17:59

Appetite the same. Eating healthier - I did bloat a lot with the stims and after EC. Maybe that’s reducing but I read bloating should worsen if you conceive 😳 just got to wait and see.

Thanks for the reply

I moved house a few days after. Was lifting, packing. Cleaning. Lugging stuff, gardening, scrubbing.

It was fine. Good luck x
