How many pizzas would you order?

So in the absence of being allowed to do anything for my sons birthday again I am thinking of ordering some pizzas for my ten year old son and his football team mates for after training.
There are 12 boys in the team how many pizzas would you order? The options are Pizza hit, dominos or papa Johns. I'd rather not remortgage to feed them so am looking at using a deal if possible!

I agree with the poster that mentioned independents maybe having some good deals, the pizza we get from an unknown obliterates dominos mass produced overpriced rubbish and alot cheaper. I guess i can understand kids but still don't understand adults who rave about it.

The individual size pizzas are 7". I would have thought that is more than enough for 9/10 year olds?

Obviously it's cheaper to buy the large pizzas. The largest 13.5" (143 square inches) is the equivalent of 3.75 individual pizzas (38 square inches), so I would have thought 4 large pizzas (the equivalent of 15 individual 7" pizzas) should be enough, especially if you get sides.

You could ask them to cut them into 12 to make sure everyone can have 4 slices.

Recently ordered a good deal from domino’s, two large pizzas, two sides, cookies and a bottle of drink for £22 x

@HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime

I ordered pizza for my Dds birthday after a pool party, plain ol' margherita was the most popular, they were like piranhas whereas they other flavours had slices left. I'd order enough for 2-3 slices each.
2 to 3 really? Crikey I know children younger than 6 and a toddler who could and do eat 5 or 6 Slices easily!

Dominoes do 50% off if you spend £100.
That many boys after football training you'll need loads. 8 large probably about right, but maybe some sides too.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 15/04/2021 21:12

If you sign up to tastecard for a free trial, dominos does 50% off over £30 spent, everything but ice cream and drinks included. Pizza hut does the same deal on tastecard too.

I’d order 4 large ones and a couple of tubs of brownies, cookies or mini rolls from the supermarket.

@BusyLizzie61 I was thinking of slices from a very large pizza not a little individual one, 300 calories per slice of a Papa John's cheese pizza so 2-3 slices is more than enough particularly if theres birthday cake too. Buy deep pan instead of thin and it'll fill them up more.

Pheebs2021 · 17/04/2021 08:10

I would go to Pappa Johns they have half price offers on and buy 4 xxl ones, perhaps five.

@HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime Nobody is thinking of the calories when ordering pizzas for teenage boys! It's a birthday - letvthem eat what they want 🍕🍕🍕

bluechameleon · 17/04/2021 09:17

Domino's do a deal for 4 large pizzas, 4 sides and 4 drinks for £50 at our branch (they do different deals at different branches though). If you got that and a 2 pizza deal for £20 you'd have loads. I expect they will be hungry after football.
