Lost AirPod suggestions?

Hi, nc as long-standing poster and have told family about this already. Wondering if anyone can think of anywhere to look. Can’t use the find my function as it won’t connect so must be dead now. I know it can’t have left this 1 room though... I went up to bed 2 nights ago and had both AirPods in. Listened to a few podcasts, the right one was uncomfortable the way I was laying so I took it out and either put it on my headboard shelf or next to me. I watched 1 video, took the other one out then plugged in my case to charge. I was absolutely sure I’d put them both in the case but I can’t have done. Wake up the following morning and go to unplug the case and plug in my phone to charge for a bit, open the case to get my AirPods out so I could listen to something whilst getting ready and they weren’t in there. Found the left AirPod on the floor right next to my bed. Can’t find the right one at all. I’ve changed my bedding, moved everything on my room floor, checked in between the bed and headboard and in the under bed storage... I’m perplexed. It can’t have vanished into thin air! Where would you be hiding if you were a single right AirPod? Sad

I have this exact bed and have twice lost my phone and struggled to find it. It fell down the back between the mattress and the headboard into the drawer runner. I had to pull the drawers out and prise it out with a carving knife. Definitely take the mattress off and pull the drawers out.

My spare car key was lost for 2 years. Exh swore he hadn't had it ... found in his hiking kit!

Well this is my final thoughts. ...

  1. stand in middle of your bedroom.
  2. open up your amazon / Argos / eBay account in your phone / computer with new air pods on screen.
  3. proclaim loudly and clearly that you are about to forget all about the old air pods you thought were crap, and that you are now going to buy some far more superior headphones.
  4. Look around the room to make sure the old ones have /have not reappeared.
  5. click buy on phone / computer.

2 years later find lost air pods.

I presume you've checked inside the pillow case s but what about the pillow. Is there a hole in the pillow itself it could have got into?

Bought some new ones they're coming tonight. Will let you know tomorrow when the lost one turns up Wink

I doubt checked this but they're almost brand new pillows and very robust. No holes. Thank you though!
