Parents of kids who play Roblox - can you check something for me?

DD1 is insisting that Adopt Me is suddenly locked to those with a under 13 profile (she's at her grandparents at the moment so I can't check myself easily). We've had numerous instances of her trying desperately to push to get the 13+ lock taken off her account and so I am a little cynical on this one and won't do anything until she gets back home and I see it with my own eyes.

Can you ask your kids if they've changed the age rating on it- I got a wonderfully written email attempt at persuasive writing trying to persuade me to give her the password to the parental controls and I like to know the full situation before I act.

My girls said there isn’t an age limit to Adopt me and by taking the age 13 limit away they can play any of the games (some I won’t let them play and they’re 10 and 12) without permission/password. I’m not sure if it’s 100% as I don’t know much about the game, but it sounds to me like she wants access to all the games that are banned for under 13s. Also make sure it’s not easy to buy ‘robux’ as I’ve made that mistake before by giving them the password and found a huge bill where my youngest didn’t know they cost real money!

Sorry forgot to add it isn’t locked to under 13s mine can still play it.

"Dear mummy as the subject suggestes adopt me apparantly is 13 plus yesterday it was alright now we cannot play with our freinds or see the new ocean eggs or do stuff on it."

I suspected she was trying it on when she went very very quiet when I said I'd asked the makers of the game on Twitter and the only response was "aaaaahhhh". I know she takes a lot of pestering from her best mate who has cracked all her mum's passwords and bugs DD to play the 13+ stuff!

Hi just checked my two girls have under 13 Roblox adopt me accounts that have now become restricted. We gave them £10 worth of robux on their accounts for adopt me on Tuesday . Not happy

Can confirm DD1 also just reported the same problem - have checked myself and it looks like there has been a few games that have had this happen on Roblox. It appears there has been a sudden spate of songs with inappropriate content for under 13's. DD1 complained about one last week. Keep your ears open :)

I logged the girls out on all games and re logged in and it worked then

Thanks to those who've checked it - I'll have a fiddle about when she's back and she might not be being AS crafty as I initially thought!

I was very impressed with the pseudo business speak persuasive email though!
