Baby's room smells of weed

We moved into our lower villa at the end of last year (block of 4).

Neighbour directly above - Couple with 2 young kids, around 8-10y/o

Neighbour to the side - Couple with 3 young kids, between 6 - 12y/o

Above neighbour to the side - elderly couple

There are vents in all bedrooms but they go into the cavity walls, not directly outside.

Every evening and weekend my 10 month old DS's room absolutely reeks of weed! Can't smell it in any other rooms or outside. The room above DS's is the 10 year old boys room. The room next to DS's is another young kids bedroom and I'm not sure about the room diagonal.

It's making me really angry that every night when I take DS through to bed his room stinks so strongly.

What can I do? I have no idea who it is, could be any of them.

What insulation is in the cavity? The office I work in has hemp based insulation, it does smell of weed when the aircon hasn’t been running.

Just to add, we've covered the vent but it's made no difference.

I'm not sure to be honest. It's a 1950's build.

Complain to the council. Hopefully they will look into it. Do you know where its coming from ?

SmokeThemOut · 14/04/2021 19:21

@MissMaple82 it's definitely coming from one of the other 3 properties but I have no idea which one. Knowing our council, I very much doubt they'd take any interest at all.

Look into it how?

I have the same problem and I would be interested to know what my council should be doing
