I'm going swimming!!!!

I'm quite excited but I'm also dreading it. I've not been since well before lockdown 1.

I've joined the gym - the one that has the pool this time! And booked to go this evening!!! Yay.

Fortunately the costume fits...but I think a larger one would be a tad more flattering. Should have really checked before but then I never would have booked and put it off for another year

I love swimming but dread wearing my swimming costume. I was already big, and lockdown / wfh has made it worse. If any one has any recommendations for new costumes, or just reassurance that nobody cares about my tree trunk legs and extra 3 tyre!

Nobody cares. I’m a size 18, I swim in a Lido all year round and wear a bikini. Enjoy your swim.

Never mind no one cares - no one can see! 75% of adults need glasses. And of those remaining with their smugly perfect vision (I’ve needed glasses since age 8) - half of them will have rubbish leaky goggles.

I went swimming this morning. The only person I noticed was a woman in a bikini with rock hard abs and I looked at her thinking ‘I should do more sit-ups’
Apart from that I couldn’t tell you what anyone else looked like or wore.
Was too busy holding my own stomach in on my walk to the water.

No one cares and the great thing about swimming is its only the dash from changing room to pool when anyone can see anything more than your head anyway.

Enjoy your swim OP and really, don't worry about what you look like.

In the nicest possible way, people won't be looking - they'll be concentrating on their own swim session

I'm going swimming at the weekend for the first time in ages, can't wait! I know I only worry about what I look like in my costume, I definitely don't even notice what anyone is wearing, or their size.

I can't wait to go swimming again OP, enjoy! Everyone is too busy hoping nobody else is looking to actually look.
