Hello, I have got 11week daughter, breastfeed with bottle of breast milk given by daddy before bed.. she is great sleeper at night, usually does 6 hours then feed then another 2 hours in next to me .. However she will only nap on me or walking in the pram or baby carrier, I can’t put her down she immediately wakes up.. She fall asleep either on my boob or rocking her in my arms, I don’t mind doing this but worried I am creating bad habit and she will struggle to nap on her own in crib when a bit older .. Any mamas who had the same with their babies? Did it get better or nope?

All my children did this as babies, until they were just over one, then they would nap next to me on the sofa or bed until naps stopped, I was always next to them though (and I'm lazy so it was good for me). We co slept too though until 3 so it was just what happened, never had cots, but I was a SAHP so there was no pressure to get them to nap alone for nursery.

I'm sat here now with my 7 month old sleeping on me!

My other two are 7 and 19. It all turned out fine

If you are fine with it, then carry on.

It's not a bad habit, it's just fine.

But if you don't like it then I'm sure someone will be able to give you good advice to help them nap in a cot Smile

Aww! Enjoy the baby cuddles. Make the most of it to enjoy some television. Just make sure you’ve had a wee and have got a drink and snacks (and the remote) in teaching distance before she falls asleep.
