Older girls pants

DD (13) doesn’t like shorts. However I’m struggling to find pants that aren’t - pink, days of the week, floral or all white.
There seems to be more choice in shorts. She doesn’t like white pants because of her period.

I’d love to be able to find mostly plain blue/black cotton pants?

Can she not choose her own? Not being funny just I'm sure at that age she will be able to have a look online and find something she likes? 😊

Sidewalksue · 14/04/2021 11:36

Well seeing as I’ve looked and I can only see pink/unicorns it’s a bit pointless.
She would just want plain black given the choice but I can’t see any (that aren’t period pants).

Asda

Matalan

Tesco

Age 13 she can fit in to ladies pants. Measure her and then check the measurements on the packs.

I buy ladies plain black bikinis for my teenager in xs/size 6. Loads of places do them.

SoupDragon · 14/04/2021 11:38

I agree - look at adult ones.

daisydalrymple · 14/04/2021 11:39

Dd has just turned 12 and has Next pants. They’re usual stretchy jersey cotton, but I managed to get a black set and navy set (might have had a couple of lighter colours in with them).
However, I’ll probably be letting her choose her own from Asda / M&S next time onwards from the ladies section. Size 6/8 or maybe even 8/10 will probably be fine now she’s developing curves and she can choose a complete black set that way.

MolyHolyGuacamole · 14/04/2021 11:39

...is M&S not an option? She's 13, not 5

Aprilshowersandhail · 14/04/2021 11:39

Primark sell xs and s ladies. My dd's have them - plain packs or pattern.

MajorNeville · 14/04/2021 11:40

My DD wears adult pants, loads of choice. Plus get her some period pants, they're fabulous.

daisydalrymple · 14/04/2021 11:40

Sorry x-posted with similar suggestions regarding adult pants.

MrsBungle · 14/04/2021 11:41

I buy dd's plain black pants from Asda or River Island (although the RI ones have a band at the top).

emmathedilemma · 14/04/2021 11:41

M&S do multipacks of black knickers in all sorts of styles in the ladies range. Some start at a size 6.

BluebellsGreenbells · 14/04/2021 11:41

Mark’s and Spencer’s
Or try adults size 8

These are an example from next

I was worried adult ones will be too big as a lot of the pants she is wearing are quite small still. I’m trying to throw the age 10-11 away.

halcyondays · 14/04/2021 11:42

Unless she’s very small for her age, just buy them in adult sizes.

rainbowthoughts · 14/04/2021 11:42

Plain black pants is hardly a challenge for a 13 year old. They will sell them in the majority of supermarkets and clothes stores. What are you finding so difficult about it?

Sidewalksue · 14/04/2021 11:43

H&M will do! Thanks

And she wears period pants. It’s where the preference for black comes from

OP posts:
halcyondays · 14/04/2021 11:43

I’m sure a size 6 wouldn’t be too big.

Ah, a drip feed. She is the size of a 10 year old!

Dylon?

In the last week I’ve been in Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s and not seen anything suitable (that wasn’t a short).

Boys pants, womens pants. Not sure how this is a problem. Not sure why it's a problem what the pants have on them either to be honest. Whose going to see them?

Sidewalksue · 14/04/2021 11:45

She’s 5ft 2. I just thought there might be a different cut between adult/girls pants

Wish I hadn’t asked

Would size 4-6 at Primark fit your daughter?
