If you have an e-commerce website how do you manage payments?

In the process of sorting my website and I realise I'm not really sure how payments work! Can anyone recommend any providers? I know stripe is a popular one. How much commission does it take? Is it worth offering PayPal too? Thanks in advance.

If you are selling products then go for Stripe. Lower % fees than PayPal.

Thank you! I'm going to be selling services

I have a site that is built in squarespace and use Stripe for payments. They do take a small commission, not sure on the exact percentage but on a £15 product it’s 21p

FizzyPink · 14/04/2021 18:16

Sorry that’s not right, it’s 41p so just under 3%

I use stripe, PayPal and Apple Pay. You could look at sage pay?

The website will be Wordpress. I think I'll have a look at the suggestions on here, thanks.

We offer stripe and PayPal, just added stripe recently. We are seeing more customers use stripe. Only downside is it takes longer to clear into your bank account than paypal.

Shopify is very popular, the website and payments are all set up together.

I'm a developer and I think we mostly use stripe unless someone wants PayPal... because it's PayPal. On someones personal project (so budget!) we used stripe.
