My Mum Tracy Beaker x suitable for a nearly 7yo?

DD is obsessed with Jacqueline Wilson but I know some stuff she writes is aimed at older children. I watched the CBBC TV series of this book wi5 her, and it was fine, but is there anything in the book that wouldn’t be suitable? I let her buy it on the proviso I check it first (and I’d stash it and get her a different JW book in the meantime if it’s not suitable yet), but she’s chewing my ear off, desperate to read it, and I’m just not having time to read it first!

It would be fine.

Also as an adult (if you are generally a good reader) it would probably take you just a couple of hours to read if you wanted to read it first.

I think it is OK. I think one of the topics in the book is the main character discovering that her mum's boyfriend is cheating on her which might be a bit racey for some, but didn't seem to worry my dds.

(There is a chance this happens in the book after, though. They merge into one in my mind).

Thanks. I skimmed it and between that and your comments decided it was okay. She’s now devouring it! Sean Godfrey definitely seemed nicer in the TV series...
