I think it was on bbc set in a hotel and it was all rather scandalous with the guests up to no good. The hotel manager was a woman with blond hair and I think the guy from Lock Stock was in it too. Around the year 2000 I think. Not much to go on I know mumsnet never fails with this sort of thing.

That's it! Wow for some reason I was convinced it didn't have Hotel in the title. Thanks all, just need to find it streaming somewhere now.

Max Beesley and Tamsin Outhwaite, and the very best actor was the woman with dark hair who worked behind reception Grin

AdaThorne · 13/04/2021 19:56

Definitely Hotel Babylon. Absolutely loved it. Max Beesley too, right?

Ooooh I wonder if that's streamable anywhere?

DogsSausages · 13/04/2021 19:56

Do you mean Vinnie Jones

minou123 · 13/04/2021 19:59

Hotel Babylon was brilliant and based off the book.

There is a series of Babylon books. For example Restaurant Babylon, Pop Star Babylon, Wedding Babylon etc.

The author (I've forgotten her name) interviews lots of people in the particular industry and then rights a non-fiction book based on true anonymous stories.

LavendulaAngustifolia · 13/04/2021 20:12

@minou123 really? I didn't know there were books. I might have to hunt around for those too.

It's on YouTube! I was re-watching Season 1 a few weeks ago.

MoveOnTheCards · 13/04/2021 20:14

The books are by Imogen Edward-Jones (or something!). She wrote the first one, Airline Babylon, based on her experience as cabin crew I believe.

Would love to watch Hotel Babylon again!

MoveOnTheCards
Thats the one! Imogen Edward-Jones is the author, well remembered.

Airline Babylon is another good one. Its the day in the life of a airline manager.

If you like Hotel Babylin, you'll love the books.

I wanted to re watch it recently, could only find it on YouTube. Great escapism
