Just that really... I need to vent
We went through a broker for our remortgage, and Santander came out as the cheapest, although the broker warned us their admin side was 'difficult' at the moment.
Holy shit, they weren't joking...
We are as standard a borrower as it gets - both salaried with long employment histories, low borrowing multiple, 50% LTV, good credit etc etc
We are now entering the SIXTH WEEK since the application was submitted without an offer.
My poor broker is chasing them and getting an increasingly ridiculous list of reasons it's taking so long. I swear the next one will be 'the dog ate the valuation report'.
She said they are being this bad for at least half the clients at the moment.
Wish we had taken the next best offer now, because the extra few quid a month would have been worth it not to deal with this shitshow.
