Friction burn on nose

DT1 has managed to take all the skin off his nose (the twins both have safety beds surrounded in mesh - usually he rubs his head against it and gets a knotted quiff but last night he decided to rub his face against it).

Is there anything I can do to help it heal? Can’t cover it (if I put a plaster or dressing on it he could remove it and swallow it in the night - very likely to do that actually). Can’t adapt the bed as it wouldn’t be safe and no way I can stop him from doing it. Sigh.

We’ve had these beds since just before Christmas (funded by social care as insanely expensive) and they have saved my sanity and kept them safe - seems there’s always some problem though whatever we do!

Ooh ouch!

Arnica cream? I don’t know if it might be a bit stingy though.

It’s not bothering him at all but he has a very high pain threshold - more worried it will get itchy and he will scratch the scab off. Sigh. His poor little face :(

If it were me, and he'll tolerate it, I'd try and keep the scab moist with cream. That will stop the scab drying out and being picked/scratched off.

Beyond that, I don't know!
