Would you stay the age you are now, if you could...

I've got some magic pills. They make you stay the age you are now, for as long as you've got left until you are 100. So say you are 35, you will stay 35 for the next 65 years. Your health etc will remain as it is now. Your children will remain the age they are now. If you are pregnant, your baby will be born but remain a newborn. You won't have any more children. You're job remains the same, married to he same man etc. Basically your life will freeze as it is now.

Would you like one of my magic pills?

Yes, I’m 43 and would love life to freeze as it is.

MrsFin · 10/04/2021 11:51

Yes. Although have you got any oils that would take 10 years off?

MrsFin · 10/04/2021 11:51

*pills

Merename · 10/04/2021 11:51

Fuck no! Small children that never grew up - stuff of nightmares! Grin

lljkk · 10/04/2021 11:52

probably yes, better than getting old & frail.
Better if I could have frozen at about age 33, but this is ok, too.

GoWalkabout · 10/04/2021 11:55

No because I want to see my dc launch into their lives. And I want to retire 🤣

Love51 · 10/04/2021 11:57

Hell no!
But I am currently looking for a new job, so to think I had to stay in this one would do me in.

Flappityflippers1 · 10/04/2021 11:57

I have a 3 year old and a new born so you can pop your pills where the sun don’t shine!! 😁😂

I was actually thinking yesterday that it would be lovely to freeze time, but the only thing getting me through the sleepless nights is knowing they end at some point!

IvysPoison · 10/04/2021 12:00

I would have liked to stay at somewhere between 30 and 35. These were the years I felt most confident. I'm 40 now and feeling hard done by 😂

Superstardjs · 10/04/2021 12:00

I wouldn't mind being my age, but dd would be supremely pissed off to be 15 forever. And I don't want to live to 100, 80 would be quite enough for me.

Tinkling · 10/04/2021 12:01

Yes. I am very happy with my life

Ylfa · 10/04/2021 12:03

God yes this feels like the perfect age and stage of life - 50, children have left home, mortgage paid, long term single and live alone with fewest responsibilities ever.

DipSwimSwoosh · 10/04/2021 12:12

Yes. I am terrified of ageing. My looks are taking a battering so who knows what's to come.
More than that, dementia runs in my family. I do not want to become old and a burden. One of my uncles died in his sleep aged 75. It was a shock but so much better than spending years in a home. I am dreading getting old and watching younger people walking, running, being active, while I fade away.

Dowser · 10/04/2021 12:19

Yes I would take them
Sick of getting older, more achey, more broken teeth, grey hairs, wrinkles

This is just slightly better than the alternative

ZaZathecat · 10/04/2021 12:21

Put me down for a pack.

canigooutyet · 10/04/2021 12:25

If the magic pill would take me back about 10 years when my physical health was more manageable then yes please.

chatw00 · 10/04/2021 12:26

If you can wind me back 5 years and then freeze, yes please [grin[ Physically anyway - not sure I want to be stuck at the same age forever...

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/04/2021 12:26

Yes! DS is about to turn 8, a lovely age. I'm 30, still got my looks so it would be nice to stay this age. I'm single and enjoy the single life, great group of friends. I like my job and have a good work/life balance.

I would like Covid to vanish though please so I can get back to living properly!

shipsandgiggles · 10/04/2021 12:29

No, my DC are only 2 and 5 months, maybe when they’re a bit older

GoodbyeH · 10/04/2021 12:29

No way. I actually enjoy getting older. I seem to get better with age!

cheezy · 10/04/2021 12:34

Definitely I would

vinoandbrie · 10/04/2021 12:42

Yes please!!

Trinacham · 10/04/2021 12:47

no, I'm 30 and haven't had my babies yet! If I had, then I'd possibly say yes. Everything else is as I want it right now.

ConfusedDotty · 10/04/2021 12:47
  1. The kids all grown up, my Mother would still be alive. I was at my prime body wise. It's all gone downhill now at 51.
thecatneuterer · 10/04/2021 12:49

It would be better than nothing, but I would prefer to go back 30 years and stay there.
