Sounds like it's running as usual then.

Are you in the north west? We had exactly the same - booked to go to a National trust place (whole day was showing as suns even as late as last night) and it’s snowing!!

Alternating between sunshine and snow showers here in Northern Ireland.

Yep, greater Manchester.

Glorious sunshine forecast for yesterday, today and tomorrow. It was still forecasting glorious sun shine this morning for today...

We are also booked to go to an NT place tomorrow.

It’s April. The weather is generally unpredictable at this time of year and can change in a very short time. Should be no surprise.

All British weather forecasts are less reliable than usual at the moment because they use data from transatlantic flights. The more flights there are, the more data will be available and the more accurate the forecasts will be. There are fewer flights at the moment, hence less accurate forecasts.

Luddite26 · 10/04/2021 10:42

BBC pffft waste of time.

That's good to know.

One day last week we have a mix of overcast, sleet, sun, snow, high wind, hail and low cloud - in one day. In the full sun it felt fairly warm. In the rain and snow it was freezing.

Tbf I'm not sure I could expect any weather app to forecast what actually happened.

Etihad · 10/04/2021 11:01

WavesGrin to Dugee There’s a full on snow storm in Stockport now. So glad we aren’t trudging round Quarry Bank Mill

UCOinanOCG · 10/04/2021 11:43

It's supposed to be raining here and we have glorious sunshine.

ineedaholidaynow · 10/04/2021 11:46

We were meant to have snow but have sunshine (although it is cold)

Dugee · 10/04/2021 11:48

Waving back @Etihad 😃. From down the road in Trafford.

You may already know this - you can walk into Styal Woods from QBM and get to a road that runs parallel to the airport runway. DD and DSD are both fascinated by the planes taking off and landing (there are still some, even in lockdown).

I'm in Warrington and we have full glorious sunshine! Good to know there's crap weather near by though, won't be pegging the washing out!

Ilikewinter · 10/04/2021 11:48

Im so glad its not me thats just thought what the hell!.
Glorious sunshine showing all day on the app and yet its started with an apparant 15 car pile up on the motorway due to the weather......and that was followed a second crash and all the roads around me are a car park......now im sat drinking a brew looking at a proper full on snow storm.
Don't know how they got this one so wrong 🤣

lljkk · 10/04/2021 11:50

Been pants for me ever since they changed from MetOffice.
Weather is fairly unsettled at moment, tbf, hard to predict.

idontlikealdi · 10/04/2021 11:53

I never use bbc weather it's crap.

GreenHairThingy · 10/04/2021 11:53

Maybe there was a weather front they expected to go one way and it changed course at the last minute.

Etihad · 10/04/2021 11:54

dugee thanks so much, that’s awesome I didn’t know about that Smile

MrsDThomas · 10/04/2021 13:12

I look at my sheep. Depending on where they are i can tell which way the wind is blowing. If its cold they go to the right wall, is its gonna rain and really windy they are on the left. Living in Snowdonia you cannot rely on a forecast as they don’t take the elevation into consideration And cloud coverage

peak2021 · 10/04/2021 15:30

Unusually today it was read by a real meteorologist not some supposed autocutie.
