Anyone up? Possible breast haematoma

I'm waiting for 111 to call back at the moment and don't want to do any more Dr Googling.

Basically I had a fall yesterday evening and injured my left breast, over the course of the last 24 hours I've developed very severe bruising covering more than half the breast. The impact was on the top half of the breast but the bruising is mainly in the lower part. I'm fairly sure there's bleeding going on within the breast and worried about whether that's ok to just leave and let it disperse over time or not?

I did call my doctors late afternoon but couldn't speak to a doctor and it's got worse since then.

I do have underlying hyper mobility syndrome which means I bruise very easily, however this is very different to anything I've experienced before.

I'm hoping that someone is still up with a bit of medical knowledge who can reassure me that I don't need to worry too much while I'm waiting for 111 to call back.

There's only slight heat to the skin, which is to be expected with the injury, but it's very black/purple/red and getting worse with time. It doesn't look like normal blue bruising if you know what I mean.

Any opinions/reassurance welcome!

Hi @maz210 did you manage to speak to someone? I don’t know about these things but not many people on MN right now, so didn’t want you to feel alone.

Ouch OP. I have no medical experience but hope 111 call you back and that you're ok x

Not yet, no. I've had a call back to say they're experiencing high call volumes so it will be a while. Wish I'd been a bit more insistent with the doctor earlier but it wasn't as bad then.
