Are garden centres open?

Sorry, I know it will have many aghast that I don't know! But everywhere seems to be click and collect only, so I'm wondering about garden centres (England).

@8dpwoah

Well, if you Google, you're highly likely to find links to their social media too which are also much more likely to be up to date as they'll probably manage that themselves rather than outsourcing it to a website company. Try it, you might like it.

In reality, should I need to check out Golden Cottage Plants Twitter feed? 🤔 Given that it was my understanding that the rules must state 'allowed to be open or must be closed', no?

More useful than asking a generic question on here when you've found out that there are variations all over and locally anyway? And if you knew what the guidelines said why did you feel the need to clarify the national picture on here? I understand why you didn't want to give an area but really what were you going to achieve by asking on here? None of us has the power to check or change what your local garden centres are or aren't doing.

I feel a bit ridiculous pressing the point but the lack of initiative seen on here many times is irritating and clogs up the board with shite.

dpwoah

Clog up the boards? You don't have to click on the thread you know Hmm.

People ask all sorts of questions on here, isn't that sort of what it's for 🤦

Generally when I’m unsure about something local I pick up the phone. There is also a local section on mumsnet. There is usually also local face book pages which would have served you better, as you didn’t actually say where you live.

B&qs website isn't offline at all. How very odd

FlyingBurrito · 10/04/2021 09:47

Where are you that B and Q doesn't let people in and you can't phone places to ask if they have what you want?

Not a specific town but I'm wondering why B and Q would have all their shops open except for your local one. Did you go right to the door? Mine usually has a massive queue for click and collect but no queue for going in and just buying whatever you would have ordered in half the time.

I’m curious where you are too? Your area seems to be very different to the rest of the Uk where garden centres and be&queen are fully open.

Very odd indeed.
