For anyone who is impacted....including me!

Sad for you, but talk about mixed messages. Grant Shapps is now saying that people can start thinking about foreign holidays from 17 May.

At least with Jet2 making decisions this far ahead, people know they're not going and can rebook for next year or get a refund and they're not trapped into making final payments for holidays that they don't expect to go ahead but the operator hasn't yet cancelled like many others are.

Yeah I know...the government really needs to provide some clarity. Airlines can't just start up again at the drop of a hat. Similarly with hotels which need to make a decision whether or not to open. Have pushed back my work annual leave by a couple of weeks but we'll see what happens.

Is this just a threat? To try and get the government to give more concrete plans. Which I understand why. As an industry they've been hanging.

Well they've actually gone ahead and cancelled...but yes I think they are trying to use this as leverage to push the government to sort things out!

I think they have made a sensible decision. Now can Ryanair follow suit and refund everyone promptly?
