Anyone else experienced joint pain and aches after their jab..All my joints are sore, but the wrist of the arm I was vaccinated in is particularly bad with shooting pains etc xx

I felt the same.

I didnt have the shivers or sweats many complained of but my body ached all over especially the jab arm like you. It lasted about 24 hours although my jab arm hurt for a few more days after.

Deathraystare · 09/04/2021 07:44

I'll let you know as I am having it today!

ImSoMagical · 09/04/2021 07:52

I did. I was very achey all over, no energy and joints felt like I'd been hit by a bus. My arm had what felt like a lump in it for about a week and it was very sore. Aches went after 2 days though.

I had my first vaccination on Wednesday and yes, my joints ache. I felt really awful yesterday, like I had the flu; but woke up feeling much better this morning.
Still very tired but much improved. Yesterday I really struggled to work, only doing the absolute essentials. If I had known how bad I was going to feel I would have scheduled the day off!

ImNotReallyYouKnow · 09/04/2021 08:40

Thanks all. I had the fever, chills and shakes the evening of the day I got the vaccine, and felt awful all night..yesterday was much milder, but day 3 and my joints really ache, and my head hurts if I cough..arm has a raised tender itchy lump too.

Oh no, i hope I’m not still aching tomorrow. It was such a relief to feel better today, I hope I don’t regress. I have a long run planned!

Blankiefan · 09/04/2021 20:29

I had mine yesterday and have had the full set of symptoms. Achy back, fever, knackered. Starting to feel better so hoping I wake tomorrow fully recovered.

I had COVID a month ago - some say that makes the side effects worse.

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 09/04/2021 20:30

I had mine last Wednesday - no side effects apart from the vaccination site was sore if pressed. Hope you feel your usual self soon.

JMAngel1 · 09/04/2021 20:35

I had a horrible time - 6 days to get over it. Aches, pains, febrile shivers and vomiting. plus my arm was agony day 2-5

MrsDThomas · 09/04/2021 20:35

I had shivers, cold sweats, boiling hot and full body aches. Spent mist if the following day in bed😞 lasted about 36 hours. Most of the people who i know of my age who’ve had it have suffered.

OverByYer · 09/04/2021 20:36

I had the jab Wednesday, was ok after but now have aching arm, headache and lower back pain

Ringonrighthand · 09/04/2021 20:43

Yes!! I had it yesterday, I ache so much today and I’m shattered!

UnitedRoad · 09/04/2021 20:47

I had my first one yesterday and felt fine all day, but today I feel flu-y. Boiling hot but earlier I was freezing, and weak, and a bit...pathetic, if that makes sense.

Libertyfree · 09/04/2021 20:48

AstraZeneca

AnnaFiveTowns · 09/04/2021 21:43

Ive had a stiff, achey neck and felt weak and tired.

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 09/04/2021 23:18

Oh yes! Had it yesterday. Arm vv sore. Have no energy, skin feels sore, absolutely freezing. Just like having the flu. Really wasn’t expecting it to be so bad. DH had his too, but he has absolutely zero side effects!

Thefamilybusiness · 09/04/2021 23:20

Yes, apparently it's a known side effect. Mine lasted a few days, worse at night. Took paracetamol though and that helped.

lobsterkiller · 10/04/2021 04:29

Had my first shot of AZ on Thursday. I've been the same as most here, fever, chills, achy body, headache. I also had bile duct spasms (side effect of having my gallbladder removed. Something I control very well with diet, so assuming it's part of it.)

I feel ok today, so much so going to go out in a bit and exercise. So fingers crossed you all feel better soon. x

OverByYer · 10/04/2021 07:58

Feel better today. Drank lots and lots of water which helped

Blankiefan · 10/04/2021 08:13

Feel loads better today. Had it on Thursday. Felt shocking yesterday. Work up today feeling normal.

Brendabigbaps · 10/04/2021 08:18

Had mine Thursday teatime, felt fine until 24hrs later!
My arm is rock solid and painful to touch. All my joints are painful, I got out of bed this morning like a 80year old (I’m 45!)
Also had horrid stomach pains and nausea which again didn’t set in until 24hrs later!

OverByYer · 10/04/2021 08:21

Funnily enough I had stomach pains and terrible wind but wasn’t sure if it was connected!

ImNotReallyYouKnow · 10/04/2021 08:25

I had terrible stomach pain at work yesterday, thought it was something I ate! Day 4 for me, and hope there are no more symptoms as work will be shockingly busy today.

I had really bad aches, together with a temperature and shooting pains. The vaccination site was also sore for a week.
I hope you feel better soon OP

user1471538283 · 10/04/2021 10:47

I went through all the side effects. Exhaustion, fever, joint aches, headache, nausea in 7 days. Then they went! It reminded me of a virus when you are wiped out just having a shower or making a cup of tea
