I was ignoring the heavier periods and hairier chin but the cystic acne and pelvic floor dysfunction are making their presence very much felt.

I’m 43 I’m on HRT it’s been a rough ride from it starting at 41. Anxiety, itchy skin, tingling in my body, jumping muscles, insomnia, hair popping out my face! I was so poorly with anxiety hit me out of nowhere. I lost 10lbs in two weeks literally couldn’t function. I’m normally a get on with it person, busy and productive. My husband was so worried about me. Fortunately HRT has helped me get back to me. I still have a few nights I don’t sleep the best get 5-6 hours but mostly I get 7-8 hours now and the big one anxiety has gone. I had no idea how bad it was going to be. Since this has happened my mum has looked back and can see that He same happened to her she just thought it was work stress. At multiple points I thought I was starting with an incurable problem!!! It’s like the final insult after periods pms and monthly migraines! X

Anxiety is the worst

GPs will often prescribe antidepressants when HRT may be more helpful in some cases.
