Any dentists/hygienists please?

The two grown up teeth either side of my son's 2 front teeth have not come through despite losing the milk teeth more than a year ago.

I have noticed today that the gum where presumably the 2 adult teeth are in, waiting to come down, is black/dark blue.

It is only the gum in these two places. No pain but it looks like bruising.

It has never happened before to either DC. I can remember them either looking pink/red or a whitey look but never black/blue.

At the dentist next week for the first time in 18 months because of Corona.

What could it be?

Any dentists/hygienists please?

@RobinHumphries
Thank you. Do I need to do something? Or wait till dentist on Wednesday?

You don’t need to do anything it just means that the adult tooth is starting to push through

Interesting!

My daughter lost two teeth over a year ago too. There’s no space for them and I don’t think she actually has them. Quite sad about it actually.
