I’m trying to find out how redelivery requests work as I’m having a lot of problems with Royal Mail trying to arrange one.

You book it online with royal mail. It asks you a few details and gives a choice of when it can be delivered.

Yes, I know that’s how it’s supposed to work.

It’s how it gets processed at the post office/ Royal Mail that I’m trying to find out - they are each blaming each other.

The Post Office has nothing to do with redeliveries, I used to work in one.

Yes, I know that too but yet the post office has decided to involve itself in my case.

So, I missed a parcel delivery and they left the red card saying that they had left the delivery at the post office (three miles away) but offering redelivery. For various reasons it is preferable for me to have it redelivered.

However, all redelivery requests fail/ are ignored. The post office say it is nothing to do with them but yet it is in their store room. This post office is basically a shop with a couple of post office windows in a room at the back.

So, I am trying to work out how redelivery requests are actually processed so I can try and resolve it. Customer services have also so far failed to have it redelivered and are also unsure of the process....
