Will ASDA have to honour this?

A friend alerted me to the fact that Asda have a sofa for £30 when it should be £375. So ive ordered one. Does anyone know if Asda will honour it if it turns out to be an error?

They don’t have to honour prices that are clearly an error.

It's been popular on HUKD, no doubt people have ordered multiple, so unlikely to be honoured.

No there has been many court cases on this. They can cancel the order at any time as it’s clearly an error.

Given the scale of the price difference and the nature of the item, Asda will argue that you should have realised that soemthing was wrong and will seek to cancel.

Sometimes you get lucky, but if it's been on HDUK and hundreds have ordered it's unlikely. Had the original finder ordered herself one and kept quiet they may have had more luck.

2 years ago DH mentioned he'd like a smoker BBQ. I had a browse on Amazon and found one being sold by a company called Vida XL. It was £25. I quietly ordered one, didn't post it anywhere, order half a dozen etc. Just one. I fully expected a cancellation email or, to receive a doll house sized one.

Two days later I received the biggest twin smoker BBQ I've ever seen. The price had been corrected on Amazon, it should have been £225 😳

One of the first places I check now when I need something is Vida XL because them honouring that went a long way.

I think @UseYourIllusion is right. People always want to shout about a bargain, but the more people who order the more attention it brings and the shop will notice. Someone is bound to notice if an item which usually sells 10 per day suddenly sells 500 units in one day.

They've just cancelled it. Ah well
